Acadia Psychiatry is proud to announce that we are now a teaching facility for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) students.

As Maine — and our nation — continues to face a critical shortage of mental health providers, we believe it is important to invest in the education, mentorship, and training of future psychiatric clinicians. By supporting PMHNP students through hands-on clinical experience, we hope to play a small part in strengthening access to quality mental health care in our communities.

We are excited to welcome our first two PMHNP students, Giselle Robertson and Marissa Hunter, who will be learning alongside our providers as they continue their advanced psychiatric training.

At Acadia Psychiatry, we are committed not only to caring for patients today, but also to helping develop the next generation of compassionate and highly skilled mental health professionals for Maine’s future.
