Job Summary:
KCEOC is seeking qualified individuals to fill one part-time position for Senior Services Aide. The Senior Services Aide is responsible for various roles, including primarily homemaker and non-medical personal care services. Secondary roles are delivering and serving meals; transporting seniors, and other services available through the Knox County Senior Citizens Center.
Experience working with the elderly and/or special needs populations is required. A food handler’s card must be obtained after hire. The services provided by the aide must meet the requirements set forth by the Administration for Community Living and the Kentucky Department of Aging and Independent Living.
Applicants must have a minimum of high school diploma or GED, A valid Kentucky driver’s license, basic mathematics skills, good communication skills, and computer and record-keeping skills. Applicants must pass a background check, TB Skin Test and assist in other duties within the program if needed. Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting and have the ability to drive a delivery vehicle. The pay rate for the position is $14.00 per hour, and the position averages around 23 hours worked per week.
