Owner and Psychotherapist

Hello everyone! I wanted to introduce myself and put a face with the name and new local private practice Adapt Learn and Grow LLC. My name is Stephanie King and I am from Barbourville Kentucky. I started working in my community at the age of 21 as a head-start teacher while pursuing and completing my Masters in Education at Lindsey Wilson College. While working in the community I found my love for Human Resources and went into counseling and human development. As the owner and mental health therapist at Adapt Learn and Grow LLC, I find fulfillment in working with both adults and children. Behavioral therapy, as well as art and play therapy, are particular passions of mine.

I am excited that we are able to offer psychotherapy along with targeted case management and community supports. Adapt Learn and Grow is here for the clients and the community of Knox county.

Currently, I have three children 2 girls and a boy and am excitedly anticipating the arrival of another baby boy.

In my free time, l indulge in my love for traveling, cooking, and acquiring traditional skills. I also have a soft spot for shopping and thrift store finds. I enjoy reading a book and drinking coffee. Sometimes it’s the small things in life that bring the most joy.

After graduating high school in 2002, she pursued a career as a phlebotomist, a role she has held for the past 15 years. Jennifer is known for her passion for helping others and her outgoing personality, making her a natural fit for working with people.

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys activities like hiking, kayaking, and swimming, with the beach being her ultimate happy place. She values quality time with her husband and two sons, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. My name is Tina Mounce MA; Ed; LPCA. I’m a psychotherapist at Adapt, Learn, and Grow. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Intellectual Disabilities/Autism Spectrum Disorder from Eastern Kentucky University and my Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. I have 7 years of experience in the clinical setting and I specialize in adolescents and special needs.
