It's grandparent's day...I drove from Nashville to Owensboro this morning to sit with my family in Grandpa's hospital room and as I pass the Long John Silvers that Granny and Grandpa used to take us to eat after church on Saturday nights, the song Grandpa comes on the radio. I thought what on earth and then when I get to the hospital and my mom is showing me a video of my tiny little cousins singing that same song to our Grandpa just a few months ago...I wish he could sit up and start telling us about the good ole days again...but here a lot of us are here watching my sweet, beautiful Granny at his bedside, holding his hand, and praying. We know it won't be long before Grandpa goes home but we have had the most beautiful Grandparents who have been the most amazing example of love, sacrifice, and faith.
