We’ve missed waving while driving past each other every day. Thank you for always supporting our small business. Condolences to the family
Over the weekend, we received some heartbreaking news. The untimely passing of our Towns’s Mayor, Mr. Kirk O. Larson. Over the years, Mayor Larson has been an avid supporter of our fire company. Doing everything he could from the Town’s perspective to make sure we had everything we’ve needed. He has also sworn in our officers year after year at our installation dinners. Besides supporting us as the Mayor, Kirk O. Larson was a life member of our fire company. Serving 15+ years as an active firefighter and past engineer. His son, Kirk Jr., followed in his father’s foot steps in many ways, Kirk Jr. is our current engineer. Kirk, thank you for your service to the fire company and to the town. We lost a good one. Our sincere condolences to the Larson (and extended) family. In this time of loss, let’s come together as a community…his community.
As you can see in the picture, the purple and black mourning bunting. This is something we do in the first responder community when we’ve lost one of our own. “These colors demonstrate that people recognize someone’s passing and honor them, emphasizing the importance of the individual’s life. These colors also highlight the impact that the deceased had on those around them. It’s a way for mourners to express their grief publicly while also paying tribute.”
