You’re Invited!
100 WAVES BEACH DAY!

🗓 Saturday, August 30th🕚 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM📍 The Wooden Jetty, Holgate – Long Beach Island, NJ

Come enjoy live music by The Danksters and celebrate the conclusion of our fundraiser, catch some waves, listen to music, and participate in our OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY CEREMONY paddle-out.

This ceremony is to remember those we’ve lost and to stand in solidarity with all who have been impacted. Friends, family, and community members will paddle beyond the break, form a circle on the water, and share moments of reflection, love, and remembrance. Flowers will be gently released into the ocean, carried away by the tide as a symbol of release, connection.

This is more than just a day at the beach — it’s a movement. Let's gather together for a day to celebrate life, purpose, and powerful connection.

Bring your friends, your beach gear, and your good vibes. We can’t wait to see you there!

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SPONSORS!

Victory is ours today—and it’s a big one. 🚨 Two powerful bills that we fought for campaign to end overdose are now the law of the land. These laws will make it harder than ever for treatment centers to profit off body brokering or deceive people desperate for help.

Hats off to our Senior Policy Analyst, Lisa Campanella, poured her expertise and heart into making these bills stronger, smarter, and sharper—so they protect more people and close more loopholes.

We are deeply grateful to the Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way and Senator Vitale for standing shoulder-to-shoulder with us, and for making sure people with lived experience weren’t just consulted, but truly leading this fight.

This win is proof: when we speak up, show up, and refuse to back down, we can change the system. And make no mistake—we’re just getting started. The fight continues, and together, we will keep pushing until every person gets the honesty, dignity, and real help they deserve. 🔥

🌊👨‍🚒 Lifeguard Appreciation Day | July 31 👩‍🚒🌊

Today, we honor the heroes in red who keep our pools and beaches safe — our lifeguards. 🛟

From teaching water safety to performing life-saving rescues, lifeguards dedicate their time — and often their lives — to protecting others. Did you know lifeguards save nearly 10,000 people from drowning every year? 🏊‍♂️💪

They don’t just watch the water — they guard lives.

💙 Join us in thanking the lifeguards who make summer fun and safe.

The heat doesn’t stop us from doing the right thing by those who’ve died and those who are trying to survive this crisis. Every day we wake up to serve those who’ve been impacted by the harms of the opioid crisis.

Opioid settlement funds should not be used to fill budget gaps or fund policing. They must go toward:
• Treatment & recovery: medications for opioid use disorder, housing, peer support
• Harm reduction: naloxone, syringe programs, overdose prevention centers
• Prevention & education: public health messaging, youth programs
• Mental health & basic needs: housing, case management, trauma care
• Post-overdose support: outreach and connection to services

These funds are meant to save lives, not be misused. Every dollar should go to the people and communities most impacted.
Bottom line:
These are blood money settlements—paid because of lives lost, families torn apart, and communities devastated. Every dollar should be used to save lives, not further harm. States and counties have a moral obligation to ensure this money helps the people and communities most affected.

🗣️ Your Voice Matters. Your Story Can Spark Change. 🗣️

If you—or someone you know—have faced challenges receiving care at a hospital while navigating substance use, we want to hear from you.

💰 $45 million in opioid settlement funds—meant for harm reduction, treatment, housing, and recovery—was diverted to for-profit hospital systems with no accountability, despite expert recommendations and the intent of the settlement.

We’re coming together as people on the frontlines to demand better. Your story can help hold decision-makers accountable and shift the system toward real solutions.

📣 Share your story. Raise your voice. Be part of the change. https://forms.gle/YVoMY9dTjShPjFtr7
