The Creativity with these boys! Let me introduce you to Deputy SS. He custom made his uniform down to the mock mace, radio, taser, handcuffs and all. He made a fake computer, printer and other office supplies. He even strategically placed the cameras high up on the wall so he can monitor them while he does that pesky desk work. 🤣 If you pass Deputy SS hanging around campus, give him a wave! ❤

Hello Stetson Stingers!

The Garden and Greenhouse are for ALL to enjoy, plant, water and care for; we planted a ton of items this week!

Currently not much to pick, its still early in a season but there is mint, chives, pineapple sage, Sorel to enjoy currently and soon strawberries and other greens and herbs and of course our new fruit trees and berry bushes!

Please enjoy the flowers for their beauty and not pick them. Also they help the garden with the bees and bugs. You might also see a ton of milkweed. Please leave that as well. Its the main food source for Monarch butterflies.

Thanks to everyone from the worms to chickens to humans young and older and sunshine and all who make this community garden possible for everyone at Stetson!

Responsibilities
Cares for students under the supervision of the second shift Supervisor by performing the following duties:

Meets all essential student needs each shift, according to guidelines.
Performs interventions that support the Stetson School’s ACORN approach.
Demonstrates care giver qualities that treat all students with dignity and respect.
Prevents interactions that are not sanctioned within the rules, practices, and policies of Stetson School.
Prevents actions and disparaging comments that may be considered horseplay, roughhousing, and/or derogatory comments and demeaning gestures.
Maintains appropriate staff to student interactions including professional boundaries
Acts as a role model and reinforces pro-social behaviors.

Child Care Specialist are provided a paid 6 -day New Employee Orientation and receive training on CPR/First Aid, TCI, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP). They also receive unit-specific training at the worksite.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

18+ years old
Associates Degree in field related to human services; or 6 months experience working in human services with GED, High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record
Specialized training or specific skills, student intern experience, or volunteer work may be credited toward experience.
Preferred Qualifications:



Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of your team.
