Webster's Dictionary says the meaning of VOLUNTEER is a person who voluntarily undertakes or expresses a willingness to undertake a service. We sincerely appreciate the extra hands of our volunteers on a daily basis and especially when we are trying to pull off a big event (and are a bit out of practice). They say many hands make light work and we couldn't do it without you!!!

The happiness and well being of our residents is our #1 priority, no reasonable requests are refused- even if it is a pie in the face!!!

Kudos to our Center Executive Director Mandy for going along with their shenanigans and getting the crowd laughing. Even though our resident insisted that she was too pretty to get a pie in the face and was gently covering her with the whipped cream, our dietary manager Tabatha was more that willing to give her a hand and finish the job!

What a way to kick off Labor Day weekend, here is our amazing dietary team who pulled off a wonderful barbeque for our residents, family members and staff. The World Senior Citizen's Day is celebrated on 21 August each year. It was first proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 14, 1990. Senior Citizen Day is all about respecting your elders. It is about honoring those people who have been on this earth for more years then we have.

Although we can’t celebrate this grand day as we have traditionally by allowing visitors into the building, we as a center are doing our best to celebrate this day in a way that is still meaningful to our residents. Spaghetti and meatball dinner is on the menu!

We had a visitor at Berlin Health and Rehab this week. Sorry Mr. Bear, no mask no entry. Our maintenance department promptly responded and removed all bird seed from our feeders so this visitor will move on to another location.
