Here are some ideas to get started:
1. Pay attention to the frequency, consistency, and quality in which you invest in your relationships and connections.
2. Minimize distractions during conversations to increase the quality of time. (Put those phones down!)
3. Seek out ways to initiate and help others in your community. (Let others know they matter to you. Being respectful and kind is free, but priceless!)
4. Seek help when you need it, too. Reach out to family, a friend, a counselor, or dial the 988 crisis line.
Last week, the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General published an advisory naming loneliness a epidemic. You can find more info and the full advisory here: http://surgeongeneral.gov/connection
