Our team at Hope House is proud to acknowledge May as . In our efforts to build positive outcomes with our clientele, we want to remind you that it's through community that we gain strength and become greater than the sum of our parts. Nobody should ever have to fight battles alone, and isolation is a risk factor for su***de. Having a strong support system plays a key role in restoring self-esteem, mitigating negative thoughts, and being there for the ones we love. ***deprevention

Nearly 4,400 fewer U.S. teens and young adults died by su***de than projected in the first two-and-a-half years of the 988 mental health crisis hotline.

Change happens when people come together through the power of community.

At the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention, we know that su***de doesn't affect just one life. In fact, it's been estimated that 135 people are affected by every single life lost to su***de.

And just as loss and grief can reach far beyond one moment, so can compassion, connection, and action. That's the heart of A Million in May, our month-long campaign to raise $1 million to fund su***de prevention research, education, advocacy, and loss support programs.

This May, we invite you to be part of that effort. Give today to honor the 135 people touched by every su***de loss.
