Welcome Michelle Lenz to the Meadowspring Counseling, Ltd. team! Michelle transitioned to our practice and brought with her an office space in Bloomingdale where she sees in-person clients in addition to also offering counseling online. Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University. She has years of experience in many areas, but specializes in helping clients with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma & abuse, and women's issues. She also specializes in Christian counseling and healing prayer. In addition to counseling, Michelle also helps lead some incredible spiritual retreats. Our entire team was inspired while attending the Willow Creek Mom's With Teens group yesterday as our owner and clinical director, Sally, shared her testimony, spoke about Depression, Su***de, and Self-Harm among teens, and how finding hope, love, and joy can help change someone's entire life.

Christine is a Qualified Mental Health Professional and recently graduated with her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Judson University. Youth mental health continues to worsen according to a recent CDC report, particularly among teen girls: "Nearly 1 in 3 (30 percent) seriously considered attempting su***de - up nearly 60 percent from a decade ago. 1 in 5 (18 percent) experienced sexual violence in the past year." Teens and young adults need our help now more than ever. Don't be "too busy" to get help. Make mental health, counseling, and emotional support a priority.

Yesterday, Meadowspring Counseling, Ltd. was happy to take part in Judson University's community resource fair for students going into mental health and social services fields. In addition to networking, we're excited to offer a free mentor group for students interested in going into counseling as a career. It's one of our ways to give back, support students, and help educate students about the huge demand for counselors right now and the lucrative and flexible career opportunities that are out there.
