From backstage to the treatment room.
Molly Gendreau L.Ac. - I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of New Hampshire and nationally certified in Oriental Medicine, including Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. I hold a Masters in Chinese Medicine from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR.
Before my studies in Chinese medicine, I worked in NYC's vibrant theatre community as a stage manager, show technician, and wardrobe supervisor. However I could work in theatre without being onstage, I learned it and did it. Between calling cues and repairing costumes, I was looking for ways to better my health. Like a lot of people that enter the alternative medicine field, I avoided going to the doctors. The sterile atmosphere, the impersonal interactions, and the hurry up and wait time crunch, it gave me anxiety. Knowing I couldn’t avoid it, I started to take ownership of my health and searched for ways to improve.
I first learned Reiki from Deborah Flanagan, (if you are in NYC I highly recommend taking her classes). I experimented with my nutrition from juicing to veganism, I tried it all. While I enjoyed working in theatre, I found my passion shifting. I left NYC in search of a new path in Portland, OR and found Chinese medicine on the way.
I am now practicing in Newmarket, NH. I provide an environment that is warm and inviting and appointments that are never rushed. I want my patients to walk out of my office with the knowledge and empowerment that they have what it takes to be and stay healthy.
