5 Elements opened it's doors is a for business in Bartlesville as an "Acupuncture and Ma
ssage Clinic" in 2001. The company provided only Acupuncture and Massage therapy when it began with the mission to improve quality of life through pain and stress management. Over the years, the company has expanded it's service menu to better treat and address the various complexities of getting to the root causes of various pain and stress. As a result of the expanded menu of services, the company's name changed to 5 Elements Clinic & Spa to better reflect it's desire for quality care. 5 Elements Clinic & Spa has incorporated modern, cutting edge technology during an Acupuncture session to create a hybrid of therapies unlike most traditional approaches to an Acupuncture treatment. As a result, the desired benefits are achieved at a much faster rate with results lasting much longer. The company also added facial therapy in 2011, to encourage vibrant and healthy skin at a more affordable price. The treatment combines the surface approach of microdermabrasion with the healing and rejuvenation from the Infrared Color Light Therapies and Laser Therapies. In keeping with the mission to focus on care, the company does not accept gratuity as a part of the payment for service. The owner, Samantha Lin, believes, that to be of service is the gratuity! ABOUT MY TRAINING
After completing four years of service in the United States Navy, I enrolled in the Honolulu School of Massage in January 1992. While attending massage training, I was introduced to the theory of acupuncture through muscle testing with Kinesiology. The small introduction to what the body's energy field did and can do, motivated me to further my desire for more training. I knew that massage therapy alone was not enough to effectively treat the core issues of disease, pain and stress. I wanted to understand what the body could do, the healing it was capable of if this life force was activated. Immediately after completing the massage training and passing the Hawaii state board exam for massage therapy, I enrolled in the Tai Hsuan Foundation College for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was an accredited college where I obtained my master’s degree with internship in August 1996, and later my accreditation with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). In April 2011, I completed training as an esthetician and was licensed in the state of Oklahoma. ABOUT THE NAME: 5 ELEMENTS
To truly understand the complexity and mechanism of how the life force, or Qi, moves inside our bodies, one must also understand how energy moves through the five elements on Earth; Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water, and the relationship they have with each other. By learning the behavior of the energy flow in our bodies, it reveals how much we are connected on an energetic level to this planet and to each other. How the energy flows and behaves, reveals the information to heal on a level beyond the physical plane or body, into a realm where "things can not be explained".

What is Acupuncture? Small needles are inserted into certain points in the body. The needles are activating a secondary electrical system system not to be confused with the electrical system in the central nervous system, which moves our body and limbs. This secondary electrical system has 14 channels or pathways allowing for each organ in our body to communicate with each other and to the brain. Acupuncture is not the same as dry needling. Dry needling is a basic trigger point therapy, it does not balance the body, nor engage the entire body to help heal an area. Acupuncture, by engaging the entire body to do the work, activates so much more power and force behind the treatment, thus faster results.
