Today we continue announcing some recent additions to our Vital Medical Transport team (and family) as we build and grow to be more patient focused and employee driven every day.

We are delighted to introduce Matthew Langley as our new Operations Logistics Manager who will support Tennessee ops in both of our and markets and everywhere inbetween 🎉🌟
Matthew has nearly 20 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in EMS Administration. He’s equipped with exceptional leadership and operational expertise. We’re looking forward to having his dedication and strategic abilities at VMT, to enhance our capabilities and response efforts both near and far.
Outside of work, Matthew is a dedicated family man, married to Tiffany for 22 years, with seven children, reflecting his strong values and parental fortitude 💪🏼

We’re thrilled to welcome Bobby Westberry as our new Marketing Manager in 🎉
Bobby brings over 40 years of sales & marketing experience, including 7 years in Emergency Medical Services, to the Vital family. His drive, expertise, and passion for healthcare will help us take our outreach and patient care to the next level in the Chattanooga market.
When he’s not building connections, you’ll find Bobby on the golf course, out fishing, cheering on college football, or enjoying houseboat life with his wife of 38 years, Connie, and their two dachshunds.
We couldn’t be more excited to have Bobby on board as we grow and continue our mission of delivering exceptional care to our patients in the Chattanooga community! 💙🚑

We are happy to announce Tony Richardson as our Operations Manager in . Tony has been overseeing this division for several months, enhancing its performance through his support for the staff and his local expertise. We're thrilled to have him on board and look forward to his leadership.
Tony brings 35 years of EMS experience, along with an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. Over the last ten years, he has been actively involved in EMS training and management: Basic Life Support (BLS) + Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) instructor, and serving as an Assistant EMT Instructor.
Outside of work, Tony enjoys riding motorcycles and competing in Texas Hold'em tournaments. He is married with four daughters and one son, and his family includes two dogs named Harley and Cooper.

We’re glad that the incident at UTC has not resulted in any injuries and no one has been detained. Authorities are still investigating. We love our community and thankful for a quick response from the Chattanooga Police Department and our local EMS!

Medical Transporters are dedicated to safely moving patients in need, whether in emergencies or not, to medical facilities​​​​. They help connect patients to better outcomes.

From the battlefield origins of medical transport in ancient times to today’s advanced ambulance services, this day honors the evolution and importance of medical transporters in healthcare​​.

Ed Levien, 76, is one of the oldest EMTs in Maryland. In the past 12 years, he’s responded to more than 3,300 emergency calls and worked more than 13,000 unpaid hours.

The job has become an unintended second career and has reshaped his identity.
“I never had an impact on anyone until I started doing this,” said Levien, who previously worked in advertising.
