Dr. Lennox Hoyte and the caring staff at The Pelvic Floor Institute are experts in providing personalized care and attention to every patient. Fellowship trained and Board Certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Hoyte focuses on making his patients feel listened to, knowledgeable about their condition and comfortable with their care and experience. He uses proven, evidence-based surgical and nonsurgical treatments for women with pelvic floor disorders. A recognized expert in imaging and biomechanics of the female pelvic organs, he is also one of the leading robotic prolapse surgeons in the world and has trained over 60 surgeons in the use of the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical system. Dr. Hoyte has authored over 50 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and is active in pelvic floor biomechanics research. He wrote the book "Prolapse Repair", co-edited the groundbreaking textbook "Biomechanics of the Female Pelvic Floor" and holds multiple patents related to urogynecologic surgery. Dr. Hoyte and the dynamic staff at PFI are passionate about teaching women and their families about diagnosis and treatment options for pelvic prolapse, bladder and bowel control problems, myofascial pain, childbirth related pelvic floor injury, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and complications related to vaginal and abdominal mesh and sling surgeries. following up on our joint case with the colorectal team - our 85 year old patient is cured of her rectal/vaginal prolapse after we fixed her using the DaVinci surgical robot. recall that she had 3 prior failed surgical attempts by other surgeons. She came to us as a last resort. Now she has her life back! Really honored to work with Dr Allen Chudzinski, MD of Tampa General Hospital colorectal surgery on really complex cases like this one. .

Pleased to report another successful outcome from our joint robotic surgery case with our colorectal surgery colleague . This was a complex case of recurrent rectal/vaginal prolapse, in a very senior woman with 4 failed prior attempts at surgical repair. Still early, but So far, our ‘no mesh’ joint robotic repair is holding nicely. Will need the full 12 weeks of followup to validate the outcome, but the result is very encouraging to the patient and to us on the clinical side.
