When Victor's high blood sugar landed him in our hospital last summer as a patient, he and his wife Linda got serious about improving his diet. Once he was released to go home, he ... came back to Bartow Regional! Now Victor and Linda are regulars in our cafeteria. "We've made friends with doctors, nurses and all the hospital employees," said Linda. "They are like family."
In 2025, our cafeteria served more than 43,614 patients and 69,171 team members and visitors. And our food services manager, Mike Ambrosino, takes that responsibility seriously. "It is truly a privilege to care for our patients and team members, and I am incredibly proud of the work we do. Every day, our amazing staff goes above and beyond to ensure that our patients and team members receive the highest quality of service," he said.
And if you'd like to sample the cafeteria fare, the hours have been extended to the public! It's now open each weeknight from 4-7:30 p.m.!

Congratulations to our surgical services team for their reaccreditation as a Robotic Surgery Center of Excellence! Our program was evaluated by the Surgical Review Corporation, which evaluated our facility, safety practices and expertise, in order to receive this distinction. We're excited to be the fifth BayCare hospital to earn this accreditation: St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital-North, St. Joseph’s Hospital-South and South Florida Baptist Hospital.
