How prepare and care for your Laser Hair Removal sessions ✨
Before each treatment:
✅Shave & exfoliate the night before to have a clean, smooth area to work on.
✅Apply SPF daily on all areas treated. This includes full face, neck, arms, and legs. Although winter is the perfect time to start your laser treatments because of the reduced sun, it is still very important to protect from the harmful rays the sun releases.
✅Avoid sun bathing or excessive time in the sun two weeks before AND after. This will help to ensure we are keeping your skin protected from sensibility and sun damage.
✅Do trust the process! Laser hair removal is a commitment, just as it is with shaving, waxing, threading, etc. It is key to stay consistent with your sessions every 4-6 weeks, eventually weakening the follicle to the point where there is no more growth. ✨
What not to do when receiving Laser Hair Removal:
❌Don’t wax, tweeze, thread, or any other method that removes hair from the root. Doing so can disrupt the hair growth cycle and make laser less effective. If the follicle isn’t there, the laser won’t zap anything.
❌Intense exercise after a laser hair removal treatment can cause ingrown hairs and irritation. We recommend exercising prior to your treatment, and then holding off for 24 hours post-treatment.
❌Your skin is vulnerable and prone to irritation after your laser hair removal treatment. We recommend avoiding the use of all products, especially heavy lotions and perfumes, for at least 24 hours.
❌Don’t spread out your sessions further than 6 weeks, we recommend coming in every month (4 weeks) to get maximum results.
