We’re about to wrap up our 3rd KLR Collective Birth Education Series, and it has been such a meaningful experience supporting families as they prepare for birth, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood.

This series was created to offer evidence-based education, practical tools, movement, partner support, and space for honest conversations about birth and postpartum – all in a warm, supportive, and community-centered environment.

Our next in-person series will begin in August in the Basalt, and we will also be offering a series at in Carbondale in September.

We will likely offer an online version in June for families who would prefer a virtual format or are not local. If you’re interested in joining the June online class, please send us a DM so we can keep you updated as details come together.

Thank you to all the families who have trusted us through these first three rounds. We feel so grateful to do this work.

Thank you for all you’ve created – the nourishment, love, and space for a true valley of support

Today’s class was an invitation to welcome new blessings and what’s ahead.

This isn’t a goodbye – just a pause. The front studio is closing, but community offerings like the open mic night, the preloved market, will continue in the back space.

So much beauty still unfolding ✨

Yellow mung dal 💛

One of my favorite postpartum foods – simple, nourishing, and so easy for the body to receive.

Why soak your mung dal before cooking?
– Helps reduce gas and bloating
– Makes it easier to digest (so important postpartum)
– Supports better absorption of nutrients
– Speeds up cooking and creates a softer, more comforting texture

Why it’s so supportive after birth:
– Light, warm, and grounding for the nervous system
– Gentle on digestion when everything feels tender
– Rich in plant protein to support recovery
– Pairs beautifully with ghee, warming spices, and mineral-rich broths

This is the kind of food that feels like a hug from the inside – especially in those early days when the body is open and asking for warmth, softness, and care.

Soak • cook • slow down • nourish ☀️

Found on Stress and emotional tension can be stored in our bodies, especially in the hips. The psoas muscle, which connects the spine to the legs, often holds onto emotions like fear, anxiety, and trauma. When we experience emotional stress, our bodies react by tightening these muscles. Even after the emotional trigger is gone, the tension can linger, causing physical discomfort and emotional blocks.

Releasing this trapped tension is key to both physical and emotional healing. Practices like yoga, deep breathing, and stretching can help release these stored emotions, promoting greater flexibility and emotional freedom. When we clear this block, we create space for new energy to flow, helping us heal both body and mind.

By addressing emotional tension in our hips, we free ourselves from the weight of past experiences, allowing us to move forward with ease. Embracing these practices creates a holistic approach to health that nurtures both our physical body and emotional well-being. How do you release emotional tension? Let’s share our tips for healing and growth! 🌿🧘‍♀️

We are stepping into the Year of the Fire Horse – a rare and powerful energetic shift that only comes every 60 years. In Chinese astrology, the Horse symbolizes movement, freedom, courage, and forward momentum. When paired with the Fire element, that energy intensifies: passion ignites, truth surfaces, and anything stagnant is gently – or boldly – pushed into motion.

Fire Horse years are not about perfection.
They are about initiation.

Spiritually, this is a cycle of:
• bold heart-led action
• shedding old identities
• creative risk-taking
• reclaiming personal power

Energetically, you may feel a pull to start before you feel “ready.” That is the medicine of this year. The Fire Horse doesn’t wait for certainty – it moves with instinct and trust.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign… this is it.

Begin anywhere. 🔥🐎
