1️⃣ Core stability = Fine motor skills ✏️
Strong core = strong foundations. Play at the park, balance on beams, or try kid-friendly yoga before expecting table-top success.

2️⃣ Seating matters 🪑
Feet on the floor, hips & elbows at 90°-otherwise fine motor tasks (cutlery, writing) will struggle.

3️⃣ Regulation is key 🔑
Meltdown or post-school dysregulation? Skip motor tasks. Focus on breathing, outdoor play, or cozy decompression first.

When in doubt, prop it out! 👇🏻

Proprioceptive input - heavy work and deep pressure - can be a game changer for focus, regulation, and transitions. Pushing, pulling, squeezing, jumping, or weight-bearing gives the body what it needs to feel grounded.

Not all movement is regulating. Random running or bouncing might burn energy but won’t organize the nervous system. Purposeful, goal-oriented movement is what truly helps.
