Rocking Horse is HIRING an Adaptive Riding Instructor!
This is a part-time position during our operating hours (M-F 3-7pm and Saturdays 9-4pm). Let's talk about your qualifications and optimal schedule!
Last year, Rocking Horse Rehab hosted the A. Harry Moore school for Mental Health and Adaptive Riding sessions and we would LOVE to see YOUR school too!
Students participate in riding, horse education (grooming, equine anatomy), mental health, and equine crafts!! 🐴
One of the best things you can do to prep for school (one month away!) is support your child's Mental Health.
A horse shows how YOU are feeling using body language, Our LCSW guides conversations that focus on the horse, allowing children to participate in therapy.
Hand walking a horse can be as therapeutic as riding one! Walking with an equine partner induces rhythmic movements for the handler, resulting in relaxation and reduced stress.
Learn about unmounted activities like these that support YOUR Mental Health.
Rocking Horse is looking for a PATH Intl. Certified instructor for Saturdays!
In this role, you will work closely with children with special needs, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to promote their physical, emotional, and social development. Your contributions will be vital in helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life!

June 5th 10-11:30AM
The school group will consist of mounted and unmounted activities, along with arts and crafts! We need lead walkers, side walkers, and help with the arts and crafts portion.
Our adaptive riding program consists of 30 minutes of riding and 30 minutes of grooming/groundwork. The groundwork portion includes grooming, tacking up, bathing (in the summer!), as well as learning to hand walk and other horse care practices.
