Last week we went to the Council on Aging to check blood pressures for anyone who wanted it done. Mrs. Gwen and Seign stayed busy for over an hour! We also had fun watching them practice for their “cornhole” (baseball) tournament they were going to in Farmerville the following day!

Dietary did an outstanding job today on lunch. Natonya made her specialty sauce too!! Fried fish smothered with crawfish cream sauce, rice pilaf, and steamed broccoli.

Sometimes healing begins long before the body catches up. What started as a difficult season became a powerful testimony of renewed perspective, purpose, and hope.

“My name is William. I came to Lagniappe because of an accident I had at home. At first, I was a grouch. I thought if I smiled my face would crack. Then one day, I went to activities (Thanks, Stephanie). My eyes were opened and I had a totally different outlook. I am a born-again Christian and have been for many years. But ever since that day at the gospel singing. It is like a month-long revival! Perhaps, I was sent here for a reason. So, I decided to set an example. I am sure that the seed I have sown will bear fruit. Glory to God. I love you Brandon, Shelby, Stephanie, Allie and Becky.”
