Friendly reminder to clean your mat! š
Personally, I am so bad about cleaning mine. Since I have been hosting Yoga on the Farm for the last 2 years, my lack of maintenance is becoming painfully obvious š
I will be hosting an indoor class at a friendās private studio this weekend, so I thought Iād spruce the olā girl up and thank goodness I did! Iād hate for this dirt pile to end up on her floor.
Cleaning tips:
1) Wash with water most of the time (unless it is very sweaty or dirty). Mats are made to have a slip resistant coating and using cleaners/oils can remove the āstickinessā
2) Make your own cleaner using water with a few drops of eucalyptus and tea tree essential oils. Both have antibacterial properties and is a good way to clean up on a regular basis.
3) Deep clean by soaking your mat in warm water with a little soap (about a tablespoon per 5 gallons) for about 5 minutes, then rinse to remove soap residue. Lay flat to dry.
Come get it dirty again at Yoga on the Farm! Saturday mornings @ 9:30. Eden East Farm, 1910 Main St in Bastrop š¤
