☀️🍔 Nursing Home Week Fun at Mountain Meadows! 🎨🌭

Today was filled with laughter, great food, and lots of smiles as we celebrated Nursing Home Week with a cookout for our amazing residents and staff! From delicious burgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill to colorful face painting and fun memories made together, it was a wonderful day for everyone. ❤️

Seeing our residents, families, and staff enjoying time together is what makes days like this so special. Thank you to everyone who helped make today such a success and for continuing to make Mountain Meadows feel like home. 🏡✨

We want to send a very special THANK YOU to the wonderful farm animals and their handlers for coming to visit us during Nursing Home Week! 💚

The smiles, laughter, and joy brought to our residents and staff were truly priceless. From cuddles and pets to sweet moments shared with each animal, the visit made our day extra special and created memories we will cherish. 🥰

We are proud to recognize Tonya Moser, RN, our dedicated Administrator at Mountain Meadows, who has been a valued part of our family since 2017 and brings over 30 years of nursing experience to her leadership role.

Tonya is truly the heart of our team—known for being a strong leader, caring, thoughtful, kind, and deeply compassionate. Her ability to guide with both wisdom and warmth makes a lasting impact on staff, residents, and families alike.

Beyond her leadership in healthcare, Tonya’s greatest joy is her family. She is a proud mother of five children and a loving grandmother who cherishes every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her favorite tradition is simple but meaningful—Sundays are reserved for family and good food, a reflection of the love and togetherness she values most.

Meet Amy Vaughn, APRN! Amy has been a nurse for 12 years and stepped into her role as an APRN at Mountain Meadows this past January bringing her experience, compassion, and strong clinical skills to our team.

Amy lives in Batesville with her wonderful husband, Chris, and their children, Blair and Wyatt. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, sports, summertime on the lake, family road trips, and reading. She also loves taking on home improvement projects around her home.

✨ Fun Fact: Amy has five dogs and is an introvert outside of her career!

Meet Tyler Cox, RN, our dedicated Director of Nursing at Mountain Meadows! Tyler has been a nurse for 8 years and has been our Director of Nursing for 2 year’s. His journey and commitment to caring for others truly reflect his passion for long-term care and leadership.

Tyler lives in Southside with his partner, and their two dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys relaxing in his hammock or rocking chair on sunny days, working puzzles, and spending time playing with his pups, and going on adventures with his partner.

✨ Fun Fact: Tyler began his healthcare career at Mountain Meadows as a CNA in 2014 before pursuing nursing and eventually becoming our Director of Nursing!

🌟 Nurse Spotlight: Shannon Brown LPN 🌟

Meet Shannon Brown, one of our newest nurses at Mountain Meadows! Shannon officially graduated nursing school just 23 days ago, but she’s already been part of the Mountain Meadows family for 8 years as a dedicated CNA. We are so excited to watch her continue her journey as a nurse! 💙

Shannon lives in Batesville with her husband and their three boys, ages 18, 20, and 26. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, hiking, baseball, and wildlife rehabilitation. She has a huge love for nature and all creatures — especially snakes, bees, bugs, and even spiders! 🐍🐝🕷️

Fun fact: Shannon has also been a licensed cosmetologist for an impressive 38 years! Talk about talent and dedication. ✂️✨

🌟 Nurse Spotlight: Waid Holowell, LPN 🌟

This week we are shining the spotlight on Waid Holowell! Waid has been a nurse for 17 years and has proudly served as an LPN at Mountain Meadows for the past 6 years. His dedication, experience, and caring heart make him a valued part of our team and a blessing to our residents each day. ❤️

Waid lives in Melbourne with his wife and has a big, loving family that includes 7 children, 19 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren! Family means everything to him, and he loves spending quality time making memories with them.

When he’s not at work, you can usually find Waid cheering on the Razorbacks, fishing, or heading out on adventures in the woods with his wife and grandkids. 🐗🎣🌲
