Larry and Laverne, who reside in NCO, Inc.'s group home at Salem called Clayton Court, enjoyed cooler temperatures this week with an outing to the state park with their Direct Support Professionals, Rosa Enmon and Betty Andrews.

The Martin Center had a surprise visitor Friday - Arkansas State Police Cpl. Taylor Woods. Cpl. Woods gave a "tour" of the vehicle including the lights and siren and answered questions. In the group photo are TMC clients Mary Lawyer, Marty McBride, Rachelle Gonzalez, Ellen King, Jordan Simms, Carolyn England, and Derris Cowell, with TMC Program Coordinator Vickie Foster and Instructor Hazel Duncan. Also pictured are DSP Sheina Blankley and Waiver beneficiary Cheyenne Davis, Executive HR Director Amanda Bledsoe, HR Coordinator Sonia Estes, HR Administrative Specialist Bailey Woods (who is the wife of Cpl. Woods), and Direct Care Supervisor Sydney Dennis. Everyone enjoyed the visit, and we appreciate Cpl. Woods for spending some time at the center and sharing about his very important job!

DSP Megan Eash and Miction & Leslie Jones recently attended the 23rd Annual Regional Conference on Developmental Disabilities: Beyond the Borders 2025 in Conway. This is always an inspiring event where providers all across the state and beyond come together to make a difference and explore new horizons. NCO, Inc. Executive Human Resources Director Amanda Bledsoe (far right) was the guest speaker today at the Batesville Rotary Club. She provided key information about NCO, now its 51st year and serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout 23 counties in Arkansas. She also said NCO is always looking for ways to help our consumers/beneficiaries be involved in the community, such as through fundraising efforts or other local activities. Accompanying Bledsoe were Executive Director Lisa Pinkston (center) and Executive Administrative Specialist Andrea Bruner. Thank you, Dorothy Hennings, for allowing to share what we do!

We had a great time at our second annual Fun Day in Jonesboro, with our friends at Focus, Inc. on Aug. 1.

Focus may have won the kickball tournament between our two agencies, but we could not have asked for a more perfect day. The weather cooled somewhat, it didn't rain, John 3:16 came to cook a delicious lunch, and everyone enjoyed snow cones from Grant's Snack Shack. What a great day!

We look forward to next year's event, and hopes to take back the kickball traveling trophy!
