It’s Workout Wednesday at Panola Pharmacy and we are talking about a new workout.
Sprint interval training.It has lots of benefits: increases bone density, VO2 max, lowers blood pressure and blood sugar among a few when done even just a few times a week. So we ole girls are giving it a try (yes we know our sprints probably look like your jog but we are trying 🫣)Always ask your doctor before starting any exercise program.

Today was a day well spent at the Capitol representing Panola Pharmacy, LLC along with many other Independent Pharmacists, students and organizations who support Independent Pharmacy.
We enjoyed visiting with Representatives and asking them to concur with HB1665 which could do a lot for the people of Mississippi by keeping access to care available to our Mississippi residents by regulating Pharmacy Benefits Managers and supporting Independent Pharmacy across our state.

It was truly an honor to welcome such an outstanding group of high school students to our pharmacy. It is always encouraging to see young individuals who are so dedicated, driven, and full of potential.
We are grateful for the opportunity to spend time with them and their teachers.

We had another great opportunity to get out into our community’s schools and teach students and staff about opioid overdoses and naloxone which is used to treat opioid overdose.
Everyone has the opportunity to educate themselves on naloxone and to get a free supply by visiting ODFREE.org.
Think of this like CPR. It’s a skill we hope we never have to use but we want to be educated and prepared if it’s ever needed.

One of the many great things about being a Community Pharmacist is having the opportunity to be a preceptor for the University of MS School of Pharmacy. That means we get the honor of teaching and sharing our pharmacy with students as they prepare to become the next generation taking care of your health/pharmacy needs.
Another great opportunity is putting yourself in a room with some of the greatest pharmacy leaders in our state.
Today was a good day of learning at the University of MS School of Pharmacy Preceptor Conference.
