From raw lumber to lasting legacy. 🌳

For more than five decades, Batesville’s wood processing plant in Vicksburg, Mississippi has transformed quality hardwoods into the materials that shape our burial products.

Cherry, Mahogany, Pecan, Oak, and other hardwoods - sourced from forests across the U.S. - are carefully processed with precision and care. Each step reflects a deep respect for the material and a commitment to quality that carries through to the families we serve.

During the visit to the facility, Batesville leaders Chris Trainor (CEO), Mari Jo Moody (SVP & Chief HR Officer), and John Linville (SVP, Supply Chain) joined Vicksburg team members Josue Lopez (Plant Operations Manager), Kenneth Mullins (Operations Manager), and Debra Smith (DET Operator) to see firsthand the craftsmanship and pride that define the work happening there every day.

That pride extends beyond the plant floor. The Vicksburg team is deeply connected to its community, supporting early childhood literacy through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, volunteering with Kiwanis International, contributing to United Way initiatives, and more.

Thank you to the associates whose skill, care, and commitment continue to shape both the work and the community around them.
