Today we would like to introduce you to Marion and her beloved husband, Phillip. ❤️

Marion calls The Waters of Batesville home, but her heart holds a beautiful love story that began on February 14, 1953. After just six months together, Marion and Phillip were married and went on to share 68 wonderful years of marriage before his passing.

They had a small Catholic wedding with red and white as their colors. Marion sweetly shared that she chose carnations instead of roses because “roses cost too much.” Sometimes the simplest choices really do make the most meaningful memories.

When asked what advice she would give couples getting married this year, she said, “There will be good times and bad times.”

This past Valentine’s Day, Marion said she still feels loved and blessed. She considers herself very lucky and treasures her four children dearly.

Thank you, Marion, for sharing your beautiful story with us. 💕
