Here’s a fun idea to target your child’s speech and language goals! Does anyone else have extra plastic eggs on hand- we sure do!

Cut out a picture or write the target sound/word that your child is practicing and place it inside an egg. When your child hunts the eggs, he/she can open the egg and say his target sound. This can be adapted to sentence and conversational levels as well! For language goals, your child can hide the eggs following 1-2 step directions: “put the egg UNDER the chair” or “put the GREEN egg IN the box”. The possibilities are endless!

We are HAPPY to announce that Melinda Thompson, Speech Language Pathologist/Owner of Panola Speech Therapy, completed the 40 hour DuBard Association Method Course at the DuBard School for Language Disorders at the University of Southern Mississippi! By expanding our knowledge in the Association Method and utilizing this unique method, Panola Speech Therapy will assist those individuals with language disorders, including the written language disorder of dyslexia.
