During life’s most difficult moments, Arkansans and their families currently benefit from high-quality hospice care. SB269 has been proposed in the current legislative session and threatens the care being provided. If passed into law, it would:
-Raise quality of care concerns and challenges.
-Jeopardize access to hospice care in rural areas.
-Directly conflict with the Permit of Approval (POA) process for hospice in Arkansas.
-Undermine regulatory oversight of hospices in Arkansas.
-Increase the potential for fraud, waste and abuse.
