Testimonies change lives. They shatter shame. They remind us that no one is too far gone for the grace of God. Come hear her story. You just might hear your own. ❤️ This Thursday, a brave young woman will stand before us and share what God has done in her life. At 31 years old, she has walked through the darkest valleys — abuse, addiction, alcoholism, and the crushing weight of shame and self-pity.
But that's not where her story ends. 🙌
Jesus reached down, plucked her soul from the pit, and gave her something she never thought she deserved — freedom, grace, and a future. Her chains are BROKEN. ⛓️
"They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." — Revelation 12:11

This Thursday, we're diving into Lesson 4: SANITY
"Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover."
Insanity is repeating the same destructive patterns and hoping things will magically change.
Sanity is surrendering those patterns to the One who has the power to truly transform us.
You know what it's like to feel stuck in the cycle.
You know the pain of trying to fix yourself alone.
You know the desperation of needing help but not knowing where to turn.
That's why we reach out from the heart.
That's why we save seats.
That's why we share our stories.
That's why we show up, week after week.
Because we remember what it felt like to need help — and we want to BE that help for someone else.

It's about showing up.
Doing the work.
Taking it one day, one step, one choice at a time.
Some people won't understand why you're unavailable on Thursday nights.
Some might question the changes they're starting to notice.
Some may not even realize you're in recovery at all.
And that's okay.
Because this journey? It's between you and God first.
The peace in your eyes will speak.
The stability in your life will show.
The freedom in your spirit will be undeniable.
You're not here to explain yourself to everyone. You're here to heal.
And when the time is right, when someone asks, "What's different about you?" — that's when your story becomes their hope.
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." – Matthew 5:16
Keep doing the work quietly. Keep showing up faithfully.

This week at BCR, we're celebrating Testimony Week, and we're honored to have Tommy Griffin sharing his powerful story of transformation. Tommy's life was marked by turmoil, heartache, and darkness, but then Jesus Christ stepped in, transforming his struggles into a beacon of hope. Witness how Jesus rescued him from the depths and turned his story into a testament of redemption. Join us for an evening of inspiration and hope. HOW TO FIX SOMEONE: 1. YOU CAN'T 💙
A powerful truth to hold onto: our calling isn't to fix others, but to love without condition, listen with compassion, pray with sincerity, and walk alongside in faith, trusting God to bring about the transformation that only He can.
In recovery, we learn that we're powerless over changing anyone but ourselves. We can't fix our spouse, our child, our friend, or our coworker—but we CAN love them well.
Today, let's release the weight of trying to change others and instead pray:
"Lord, help me to love authentically and trust in Your healing power."
At Celebrate Recovery, we're learning to let go of control and embrace the freedom that comes from focusing on our own healing journey while supporting others in theirs.
