Don't confuse gallstone obstruction with the formation of gallstones.
If someone with gallstones has a gallbladder attack, what's happening is that gallstones are trapped in the bile duct.
Whenever you eat a fatty meal, your gallbladder contracts, releasing bile, which travels through the bile duct to the intestines.
But if you have gallstones, a gallstone can get stuck in that bile duct. This causes a lot of pain and other symptoms. When people have gallbladder attacks and gallstone attacks, that's actually an obstruction.
It’s best to work on restoring thyroid and gallbladder health before that happens.
However, if it does, seek medical help to avoid complications.
