Welcoming back ~ Walter!
Walter studied under me years ago when living in Vermont!
Walter reached out and wanted to get back into Herbal studies.
After a good phone discussion it was agreed upon to begin at Lesson 1 again.
This is truly how to become a great Herbalist!
Study! Study and then study some more.
Walter comes with an amazing back ground in, LST, providing essential ground support for aircraft’s at the Vermont airport. If you have ever landed in Vermont, chances are, Walter has probably been there to help guide you! Thanks Walter!
Walter is also an Earth luv’ing, guitar playing, plant connecting Healer on this planet and I Am so grateful to have you back!
You did great on Lesson 1, infusions, decoctions, cold infusions and a tasty treat to sip on during class that you also created right there in your own kitchen!
Is there any place better to learn than in the comfort of your own home?
We then discussed the Materia Medica for the CNS ~ Central Nervous System!
What an excellent time for myself also to be reminded of these amazing plants and their benefits to all that is occurring in the world right now.

Teaching ’s Science and Art of Herbalism over the past almost decade has brought out some really amazing connections, students and even deeper learning for myself.

If I were to ask you one thing a plant has taught you, what would it be and what plant?

🌿♥️🌿🌙⭐️🌎🙏🏽

For me Sacred Plant Cannabis has taught me a lot about patience.
I struggle with this still, it’s not magically gone, but, knowing I can have moments sitting with my medicine allows me to sit, repose, gather and move forward in a sound and divine way.
I Am so grateful.

Sitting with your medicines for a moment before taking can have a profound way of making connections beyond just taking them.
And do not think allopathic medicines cannot do the same. I have had asthma most of my life coming from a luv’ing, smoking mother. I have had to use an inhaler many times and still do when I need to. Before I use I always say something to the medicine and my lungs.
Something like, “I Am grateful to breathe, grateful for the medicine and I honor my choices!”
This goes the same when I Am taking any Herbal Tink or even topically applying also! I sit with it for a moment and give grace, honor and thanks!

Bringing awareness to anything can make it more attuned to our healing!

What a spectacular Graduation Ceremony.
Yesterday me and Mela of put 15 new Herbalist into the world.
The time honored sacred tradition of earning the Bone Crescent Moon Necklace, is a tradition that began many Moon’s ago by our deer Fairy Herbal Godmother, . 🫶🏼 We Luvu Rosemary!
It’s amazing. I have been in the most quaintest of places and ran into a fellow Herbalist wearing the Sacred Crescent Moon Necklace.
It strikes up the best conversations.
Who did you study with? Where are you from?
What’s your plant ally?
Some Herbalist wear the black one, some Herbalist Teachers add a star, like myself.
Either way, it is our connection to our ancestors and holding on to time honored traditions through our bones. As each Crescent Moon is made of bone!
It’s remembering our Grandmothers, Grandfathers, Mothers, Daughters and all who have walked in the time-honored tradition with the plants.
Those who hold the family recipes.
The bearer of healing.
It’s remembering Bear, Eagle, Hawk, Deer, Rabbit, Fox and more…
Being a voice for the plants is such an honor.
We come in all shapes and sizes and we have so many different methods and ways of teaching and learning.
Knowing we are all out there provides hope for many people, plants and mainly for our sacred home Mother Earth. 🌎

At the end of each class we all create and gift each other our magical formulations.
It is like Christmas time. All of these goodies see me through the year as I hold each one so dear to my heart as these are your creations and formulas.

We are so proud of all of you.

Fall is upon us and only two more classes to go!
What a joy and honor to watch the Earth’s seasons change right before our eyes.
Plants to be harvested, seeds to save and leaves and flowers to dry!
Herbalism is so much more than just taking plants in tincture form. It’s a deep connection to the mother and her calling. It’s listening to the songs of the plants and making wishes on the air.
We are so blessed in this life.
In this class we dug deeper into the rich soil and dug up roots of Rudbeckia hirta & Arctium lappa.
We discussed the Immune System and the students tasted many tinctures. We discussed several immunity responding herbs and foods!
Let’s not forget to start at the source!
Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.
On that note, we had the best potluck with two amazing soups, meatballs, beans, pickled veggies and a vegan cheesecake.
Life is such a gift. What a joy to watch these students transform into amazing Herbalist.
It is an honor!

Another amazing class with Rachel
Rachel arrived on Monday afternoon and after a good smudging to clear any distractions we jumped right into studying 21 Materia Medica Herbs for the Lung & Respiratory System!
Such a great class! Knowing so many herbs for a specific system just makes you an amazing formulator over time!
Plants are such a blessing and a gift!
After our Herbs we had a wonderful dinner by Papa Bear Alan of Buffalo Cauliflower! Thank you It’s my FAV! 🫶🏼
The following morning we had breakfast and dove right into learning to make glycerine based tinctures! First Rachel chose Sacred Plant Cannabis THC-a and for her second she chose to make a Rose Glycerite! This actually gave her two options for ratios while working with the glycerin.
Rachel also made Jethro Kloss’ famous liniment too!
It was a great couple of days!

Another fantastic day with our Herbal Apprenticeship class! We started out at the Camden Snow Bowl for an epic Herb walk.
This place is thriving with so much plant life!
I had never been and was so amazed!
We even saw a Frog & Fish just chilling together!
Then back to for a great class on Women’s Health and the Herbs that can help! Plus we created homemade Herbal Ghee! Truly a much needed class for all humans! Herbs allow us much needed ease and help during transitions in our lives and having the knowledge before things occur is so great! Nourish! Balance! Self care!
All of these are needed and required in this life no matter what s*x you are or decide to be!
Herbs are the path to healing and a deeper connection with nature.

Another gorgeous day gathering with all the amazing Herbalist.
This was a very special class as we introduced the students to Limpia’s and Spiritual Bathing.
All amazing healing techniques passed on by the amazing .rocio.alarcon many moons ago to myself and Melanie.
To be able to honor our teacher and pass these traditions on is truly such a gift.
Creating the massive vats of swirling plant infusions is nothing less than pure magic.
Each student with such intentions and pure hearts. It was truly a magical day.
Melanie then guided us all thru Hapé/Rapé ceremonies. Thank you Mel for your wisdom and guidance and patience on always providing such a safe, compassionate circle.
It is such an honor and privilege to teach alongside you.

An absolutely wonderful class with
She arrived on Monday evening and we began with summer smoothies and Materia Medica on Alterative Herbs. Learning about the blood and its deeper connection to organs and how herbs can be effective, is extremely helpful to understanding how the body is connected and working in harmony together.
It was a hot one, but, we still managed to get out and harvest some Hypericum perforatum on Tuesday day and add it to the jar of oil already infusing!
Then Rachel created a beautiful solar infused oil of Calendula and I then showed her how to create oils in a jiffy with the double boiler method. We used this infusion in a beautiful V***r Balm that she poured and labeled!
Followed by some delicious tofu tacos and veggies and fruit!

A truly fabulous day last Saturday at
The students and us wandered out to our rainy weekend plant walk.
Since we all know the rain is coming every weekend! 😆
Maine is well watered at this time. I keep saying how blessed we really are. 💧
Melanie was able to get the cedar gathered prior to class so we could all make some Cedar wands for smudging!
We discussed the Respiratory System. How it works and then we went over a plethora of wonderful herbs that can be helpful when dealing with respiratory issues.
This is such a fun time as we pass around several tinctures and we actually taste and get to know many plants Herbal Energetics.
I was given some time and also introduced the students to the Endocannabinoid System this class and gave out some helpful handouts.
It is imperative during these times we learn about the Sacred Plants and Sacred Fungi’s and how they deeply connect to us.
We are evolving and elevating with the plants of our times.
It is such a joy and honor to teach alongside Melanie. Thank you everyone! See you soon!

It has been a very busy week and my heart is beyond full. This past week I had my first, “one on one, in person student,” at the new rental house. It’s our first spring here and I have been watching all that the land has to offer. I’m not tilling or digging just yet, but, I Am planning many gardens in the future though because we have so much land here and it’s going to be amazing. 🌱🪴🌿🌹🪻
~ Rachel is coming from Vermont on a monthly visit where we are deeply connecting about plants and all things health and nutrition. Having the ability to have a student stay over for a full day where we sit, eat and bless together over all that we do is by far my favorite way to teach!
Rachel and I dove right into our Lesson 1.
We covered our Materia Medica on the CNS ~ Central Nervous System. Learned proper infusions and decoctions and then we planted some beautiful Matricaria ~ Chamomile seeds.

What an epic time seeing long time friends and finally meeting, in person, some new ones!
seeing you was truly what my heart needed. So grateful. I luvu! 🌿🌙⭐️🌿

I luv you my Green Sistars and Family and it’s always so wonderful to see each other on our journeys to catch up! Knowing we are doing this work together, but, separate makes me know we are all in good hands! Thank you!!!!
Finally!!! Seán Pádraig O’Donoghue and I got to meet in person!
This was years in the making. So blessed and grateful!
I even got his new book signed (I Am such a nerd for getting my books signed!) and was able to gift each other just what the heart needs!

Hands on Psilocybin Electuary making is quite possibly one of the most fun ways to create with others. We discussed 4 Materia Medica’s on the plants we used and then we got to mixing! Everyone left with samples! 😉
