We proudly celebrate the latest Guthrie Community Benefit Grant recipients, recognizing their shared commitment to community health and highlighting the transformative programs and services they provide to improve lives throughout our region.

"Their work proves something important: rural communities aren't defined by what they lack, but by their ability to care for each other. They have created solutions that are innovative, sustainable and deeply connected to the people they serve." said Dr. Edmund Sabanegh, President and CEO, The Guthrie Clinic.

We are currently experiencing a power outage at the Guthrie Johnson City Pavilion. Here's what you need to know:

- We are actively contacting all primary and specialty patients with appointments at the Johnson City Pavilion to reschedule.
- The Johnson City walk-in clinic is closed.
- The Johnson City pharmacy is also closed. Patients can call one of our other Guthrie Pharmacy locations to determine if their prescription can be transferred.
- NYSEG technicians are assessing the situation. At this time, we do not have an estimated time frame for power restoration. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.

We're excited to share that Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital and Cortland Medical Center have earned prestigious recognition from the American Heart Association for excellence in stroke and diabetes care!

Robert Packer Hospital received the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Honor Roll with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award and the Get With The Guidelines-Rural Stroke Gold Award, while Cortland Medical Center earned the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Silver Plus with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll distinction.

These achievements highlight Guthrie's commitment to evidence-based, nationally recognized care that improves outcomes and reduces the long-term effects of stroke — a leading cause of disability.

We are thrilled to announce that Becker's Hospital Review has once again recognized The Guthrie Clinic's innovative work. Terri Couts, Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer, has been named to Becker's Hospital Review's 2025 edition of "Chief Digital Officers to Know" list!

This list celebrates chief digital officers for their dedication to advancing health care through innovative digital and data-driven initiatives.

Becker's spotlighted Couts' work to improve the experience of patients and providers and her accomplishments, including leading a cross-functional team in implementing solutions that resulted in cost savings of $5 million. Couts also helped found the Guthrie Pulse Center, a virtual command center that revolutionizes patient care and daily operations across a rural geography spanning 14 counties in Pennsylvania and New York.
