Happy Earth Day. Spring continues to come despite late winter storms. We lost a birch tree at the central circle in the ice storm on 3/24-25, which has changed the feel of the area. To celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day and remember HH friends, we want to plant a new tree or series of plantings at that location in memory of residents who have enjoyed the sunny area and also sought refuge in the shade that trees, and specifically that tree, provided.

Storm Respite. These recent storms remind us how paying attention to the weather forecast is important, but that alone is not always enough as conditions following a storm deteriorate further before they get better. Would it provide a level of comfort to know that you have a backup plan ready? You can set yourself or your parent up with a respite stay at HillHouse where there is shelter, water, power, and meals, with a stay in a private room. Seven nights for $2,000. Outside we projected the image onto a table surface with a colander and holed spoons, while trying to figure out what the birds were doing.
