Otzenberger Psychological Services, LLC John Otzenberger, Psy.D., provides therapy for adolescents, young adults, families and athletes. John Otzenberger, Psy. D.

is a licensed clinical psychologist with almost 30 years of experience working with a variety of populations, including children (ages 10 and older), adolescents and adults. Most recently, Dr. Otzenberger was Director of Mental Health Services at the LSU Student Health Center, overseeing a team of clinicians that provides psychological care for more than 32,000 students. As a trained Adlerian psychologist, Dr. Otzenberger’s goal is to help clients develop a sense of social connection through the positive development of relationships within family, school and community. Family work is a cornerstone of Dr. Otzenberger’s practice. He enjoys working with adolescents, including athletes and teenagers with ADHD, learning disabilities and those struggling to connect with peers and parents. Dr. Otzenberger also provides training for parents with children of all ages using a program called S.T.E.P. or Systematic Training for Effective Parenting. This is an Adlerian model that encourages parents to identify the four goals of misbehavior: Attention, power, revenge, and display of inadequacy.
