:✨Abnormal blood counts are more than just numbers on a lab report— they’re part of a group of rare blood cancers called MPNs (myeloproliferative neoplasms).
Thanks to Incyte for sponsoring an event where I got to hear directly from patients about what living with an MPN really feels like.
What struck me most? Symptoms don’t always show up in labs or scans—but they do matter. Fatigue, brain fog, night sweats, and more can be the best signal of how controlled (or uncontrolled) the disease really is.
I saw tears. I heard doubts. I felt the weight of discouragement… but I also saw resilience, strength, and optimism.
As a physician, it was a powerful reminder: symptoms matter. Listening matters. Support matters.
If you or someone you love is living with an MPN, you don’t have to go unseen.
