It’s about to be another new year. Like every other one we will be called upon to care for each other in what seems a more risky set of circumstances. A world which seems more complicated and less simplified and yet we are only called to do two things 1) trust in the gift of spirit and 2) be accepting of the value of all humans while loving one another as “He” has loved us.
Seems pretty simple and yet it can be really difficult to throw off our fears , live honestly along the gifted journey and grow to be loving and accepting during the short journey.

The entire world has been attacked by one of the tiniest of near creatures, a virus from a strain called Corona. This one was named Covid and assigned to the year of discovery validation 19. Many people have gotten the virus and managed to survive while others have died. We are keeping at least 6 feet away from people and wearing masks. Fortunately we are able to operate online via Hippa Compliant confidential video, audio, text and email so we are open for service.
This little lipid capsule virus has brought some to share caring and concern for others and some to focus only on themselves. True character has emereged eithe. r way. Great sacrifice has shown in heroes and great greed in folks who feel inconvenienced because they are entitled. Sadness outweighed joy and anxiety outgrows calm and yet the human spirit that makes US special continues to shine.
My patients are home some together and some alone , one is stuck in a foreign country, some are working, some are worrying and wondering and yet they are checking in and taking care of themselves. I miss my people face to face and while virtual hugs are ok s real one cannot be replaced nor substituted. Slowly we will all get back to work and service and be sadder but wiser and better humans. Love and miss them

Life reminds us every day that we are on a gifted journey and not alone. 14 years ago God sent our daughter Avelina a small fuzzy big footed Katrina rescue dog she named Roxy. It grew into a very large furry energetic amazing creature that blessed her journey and filled it with love, adventure, exercise, walks, runs, pulls, swims, baths, poops, ear cleaning, constant motion, absolute loyalty and devotion and wonder shared with and by all and Yet centered on Avelina.
Roxy passed and we are as devastated because her best friend and our friend is not present with us. Sadness and loss come in many ways and yet the pain is the same. Take care of yourself. Grieve and remember and at some point celebrate and dance to good music! Danny

Reminded again that all family members suffer in a loss not just the folks called “blood relatives” and yet these folks hurting more than can be measured are often ignored.
Step moms and dads, step brothers and sisters , step aunts and uncles , cousins, neighborhood aunts and uncles often hurt more than we could understand and yet get overlooked by folks.
Go out of your way to recognize the pain and loss of all family members and friends especially step moms , dads, aunts and uncles and let them express their grief and loss within your support.

It’s been a hard couple of years within our small Team with all the trappings of normal living including expected deaths, senseless deaths, the constant fog of loss and variable decision making, near death and 80 hospital and many more recovery days, leaving missions we loved and starting over again and dealing with the draining frustrations of provider approvals and apparent non caring insanity within many work entities; and yet, doing what you love and helping others makes the journey worthwhile.

My partner and I opened our own private practice after years of service in other service environments.
