14 years ago I finally tapped out! Surrendering my life to God has been the greatest journey I’ve ever taken!

Life on life’s terms is not always easy. So many things are out of our control but I know without a doubt today that God does sustain us if we seek him! He does provide us with what we need each day!

My spirit continues to grow and continues to lead me to places I never dreamed possible!

I’m so undeserving but through His grace he continues to bless me!

This journey has required action! Healing is our responsibility. I’m far from perfect but evaluating my own journey what I do know is that I’ve never stopped searching to heal the deepest wounds.

Some days I feel like I trudge gracefully practicing the tools so freely given to me and some days the world and it’s surroundings are my greatest teacher and I get opportunities to unlearn the things that no longer serve me!

Recovering loudly is such a gift because I hope my mess continues to spread a message of transformation, restoration, freedom, love, hope, and encouragement!

Everyday I get to wake up and try again and I will not take that gift for granted. My greatest joy today is creating who I’m “BEing”. I get to choose, that in itself is a MIRACLE! Who will you choose to be?

If your struggling today there is another way! All you have to do is surrender your way! Give up what’s no longer serving you. No high will ever feel the void within! Only one source will 🙏🏼

I’m forever grateful for each person who has crossed my path in this journey 🫶🏼🫶🏼I love you all 💋💋

I can’t even express how grateful I am!

You all truly brightened my day with all the love and support! I tried very hard to make sure I responded to each and every one of you! Thank you!

Not only did I reach my goal by wanting to sell 10 lip & cheek colors I sold 14!! It means more than you know! A percentage of those sales not only supports my small business but most importantly supports those in the Foster Care system! So again, THANKYOU!

I had a wonderful weekend with my family as well!

My mother in love, sister in love, and daughter spoiled me yesterday for lunch. Then we shopped until we dropped 🙌🏻

Ate a fabulous dinner at Tio Javis with all the in loves 🥰

Then today I was able to spend the morning being lazy while Savannah served me breakfast in bed (heated up some leftovers and cooked eggs to throw on top)and my wonderful mother treated me to dinner at the best Indian restaurant in Baton Rouge. She also baked me a gluten free strawberry cake! I love sweets but don’t eat a lot of them due to my health journey! My bonus dad, children, and mom spoiled me this evening to say the least 🤗

God surely blessed me with the greatest family, friends, and support system ever!

I couldn’t do life without you all 💋

Looking forward to another year of opportunities, crushing goals, helping others, and embracing the moments that produce growth!

Victory House Christmas Party 2021!

I am so blessed to love on these girls!

The gift to trudge life with them and encourage them gives me such purpose!!

I’m praying that every woman that walks through those doors this year receives the love of Christ and their lives are restored!

We don’t get 2nd chances much anymore. Fentanyl is killing hundreds a day 💔

Just know you are able to this and an army is waiting to help you fight the battle!!

If you haven’t been told today “I love you,” just know that I DO LOVE YOU and your life is worth it!

Wanting to bless the girls at Victory with a large Sams order of groceries!

I have 4 girls who are just getting on their feet and do not have food stamps nor have they secured employment!

I was able to help assist them with getting some items from the nearby foodbank but I felt lead to reach out to provide more!

I love being the hands and feet of God 🙌🏻

If you feel led to donate I plan on going grocery shopping this Sunday, July 25th 🤍

Active addiction 15 years ago vs 11-1/2years of sobriety!

Surrendering my life over to God while practicing humility, willingness, and honesty was the best decision I ever made!

I am forever grateful for the 12 Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous providing me the foundation to freedom of addiction!

Choosing God has been the best high of my life! The many blessings over the last decade have been a dream come true!

If I can recover anyone can!

Victory House, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is three-quarter (3/4) house served as a chemical free living center. It is designed as an extended care program for clients who have completed a twenty-eight day treatment program and merit an additional period of support and structure. Due to limited space, placement depends on availability of beds, client’s progress and dedication to recovery and need for additional structure.

Once leaving an inpatient facility and returning home, you may be struggling with adjusting back to daily life. Sober living homes offer an in-between recovery option that allows you to reinforce the lessons learned in rehab.

Victory House is a great option to alleviate any concerns you may have about going from such a structured environment right back into daily life. Victory House doesn’t provide the same level of structure as an inpatient facility, but it does present an intermediate sober environment that encourages residents to develop healthy coping skills and habits for when they return home.

When residents exit treatment moving into a sober living home allows the women to create positive friendships that help to reinforce the desire to abstain from drugs and alcohol. This support system allows residents to avoid the isolation that can sometimes come with returning home while in recovery.

Moving into a sober living house like Victory House helps residents learn a number of things that will guide them throughout their recovery such as:

Making amends with friends and family members affected by one’s substance abuse
Finding a job
Locating housing after treatment
Adjusting to sober living in an unstructured environment
Learning healthy coping skills
Learn to communicate
Become in tune with oneself and learn to examine emotions
Build strong relationships
