Congratulations to Literacy Coach Ms. Ardessia Hawkins and the faculty and staff of Park Medical Magnet Academy for an awesome literacy program tonight. The OBSigmas and other volunteers were out to support the school's "Mardi Gras Literacy Night". We also had the pleasure to interact with Ms. Neda Burrell a 45 year education veteran. Awesome night all around.

The OBSigmas were represented by Brother William Covington at the Trinity AME Church this past Sunday where he presented information on health related issues at a table display. On the following day for the MLK day of service he was present with other volunteers at the River Road African American Museum in Donaldsonville. Again health related information was provided to those who visited the table including data on studies with.the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. Thank you for putting the hard work.

The OBSigmas had the pleasure of attending worship service with our sisters of the Omicron Sigma Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc at the Greater New Guide Baptist Church this morning. The pastor delivered a message on "Keeping it Kingdom". It was a wonderful way to cap off their Founders Day week.

...and another one! Its a phamily affair! Brothers George Redd and William B. Covington were joined by Soror Bonnie Scott of Mu Zeta chapter as they received the annual V.IT.A. training for 2026 at the goodwood branch of the East Baton Rouge library. V.I. T. A. is a program that provides free tax preparation for the community. The chapter has participated in the program for almost a decade now.
