Today we celebrate 39 years of Mother’s Choice 💛

For nearly four decades, tiny hands have walked through our doors…
first steps have been taken…
friendships have formed…
confidence has grown…
and hearts have been nurtured.

What started in 1987 with a dream to love children and partner with families has grown into a five-star center, but one thing has never changed — children come first. Always.

We are so grateful for the families who have trusted us, the staff who pour their hearts into their classrooms, and the children who make every single day joyful, loud, meaningful, and unforgettable.

Trying new foods can feel overwhelming for some children, especially when textures, smells, or unfamiliar tastes are involved. That’s why patience, encouragement, and positive experiences are so important.

In this sweet moment, you’ll see one of our little learners bravely working through a “food adventure” — exploring something new with support, trust, and a whole lot of encouragement. These moments build more than eating skills — they build confidence 💛

At Mother’s Choice, we believe learning to try new foods is just as important as learning letters and numbers. It’s one of the reasons we’re excited to begin introducing more whole, less processed foods to our menus in the coming weeks — giving children even more opportunities to explore, grow, and build healthy habits in a supportive environment.

What children eat doesn’t just affect their bodies — it affects their brains, emotions, and energy levels too.

Diets high in artificial colors and added sugars have been linked to:
• Increased hyperactivity
• Difficulty focusing
• Mood swings
• Energy crashes

Over the past few days, we’ve been having fun sharing some “This or That” food choices — and we’ve loved seeing how different every child (and family!) truly is 💛

At Mother’s Choice, caring for children means caring for the whole child. That includes how we nourish them each day.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be thoughtfully refreshing parts of our menu to include a wider variety of foods made with simpler, more whole ingredients and fewer highly processed items. These changes are being made with children’s safety, development, and comfort always at the forefront.

Our goal isn’t perfection — it’s exposure, balance, and helping children feel confident trying new things in a supportive environment.

These updates will be phased in gradually as we thoughtfully transition through current food inventory, allowing us to be responsible with resources while preparing for upcoming menu enhancements.

We’re excited to share more soon, including updated menus, and we’re grateful to partner with families as we continue to grow together 💛
