I’m honored to share that I am now a clinical partner with The Headstrong Project which enables me to extend my services for veterans, reservists & active duty military members beyond the free sessions.

is a non-profit that provides confidential, barrier & stigma free PTS treatment to veterans, service members, & family connected to the care.

I am really impressed with their program, their vetting process, & their requirements for their clinical partners. Not only do I feel this will be a benefit to the many military members needing care but will also provide me access to a variety of resources to expand my competency & knowledge.

✨Exciting News!✨

I’m honored to share that I have joined the Thin Line Advisory team under the visionary leadership of Shauna “Doc” Springer, Ph.D.!

Thin Line Advisory, founded and operated by Dr. Springer, provides specialized strategic consultation to public safety leaders across the nation — eliminating the need for leaders to make critical decisions in isolation, giving them the chance to be proactive, instead of reactive, about high-stakes problems, and introducing new insights and options for the complex, layered challenges leaders face.

I first connected with Dr. Shauna Springer in 2021 after reading her book “Warrior”, which has had a lasting impact on my clinical approach to working with military and first responder communities. Since then, we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate in various capacities, united by a shared commitment to delivering culturally competent care to those who serve. I’m truly honored to join her and the Thin Line Advisory team in this next chapter.

A little bit about me — I have a bunch of letters behind my name & you may be asking why? Well, I’m not someone who takes continued education lightly. I’m someone who is very passionate about the care I provide and the knowledge & training it takes to offer competent and informed care.

Things to look out for —
• EMDR Certification: for over a year I have been VERY intentional about getting my consultation hours from EMDR & IFS Integrated consultants. I’ve also been intentional about taking my time & not just speeding through.
•Doctorate of Professional Counseling: I’m getting ready to embark on my final two semesters of my doctorate program with my graduation project focusing on military & first responder mental health.
•Continued Trainings & Offerings: I will always be going above and beyond to advance my knowledge and competency and am signed up for some additional trainings as well as working on some exciting new trainings for other clinicians.

Thankful for each & every one of you’s support, encouragement, & trust. More to come. ☺️

✨What does it mean to be an IFS Level 2 Therapist? ✨

➡️ Swipe through to see the meaning behind my Level 2 IFS Therapist label.

Between trainings, consultation, presentations, readings, etc. I can confidently say that I’ve invested a minimum of 200 hours into Internal Family Systems (parts work) therapy. And I don’t plan to stop. 🤓📚💻

Befriending and working with parts has not only changed the game for my clients, but also for myself as not only a therapist but a human.

I invite you to learn more about your parts with IFS! Read more on my website or visit my website for the on demand recording.

✨50K IN FREE THERAPY FOR VETERANS✨

I don’t like to post the numbers much on the amount of free sessions I’ve been able to offer veterans since opening my private practice in 2020 but today I hit a milestone of over $50,000.

Let me be clear - I get NOTHING for these therapy sessions. I do not have a grant covering these sessions, I don’t have a funder, I don’t get a tax write off - this is just 100% pro-bono work.

I started offering these free sessions in honor of my grandfather who served in the Air Force and since then it’s turned into something so much bigger and more meaningful. I’ve watched family members, friends, partners, and more sacrifice for our country and being able to provide our military with FREE therapy without the hoops of the VA/Tricare has been abundantly rewarding.

Some of these clients have been seen for up to 31 free sessions. It’s truly an honor & a privilege to do the work I do. Thank you to all who have allowed me to be a part of their journey.

About Me

I'm Robyn, a Licensed Professional Counselor and graduate of LSU. I work with people who are looking for someone to help guide them on their journey to something different. I tend to be relaxed in sessions and approach therapy as a partnership. I'm straight forward and direct with my clients but my promise is to treat you with respect and compassion, always. I have completed the Louisiana Association of Substance Abuse Counselors and Trainers program for further specialized training in addictive disorders. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and hypnosis and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

My specialties include addictive disorders and trauma, but I have experience and success in working with various other issues including, but not limited to mood disturbances and couple’s issues. I use EMDR to further help clients suffering from symptoms of trauma/PTSD as well as training in hypnosis to help clients struggling with behavioral changes. I offer FREE sessions to United States military.

I believe therapy is a partnership between you, the client, and myself with my goal being to empower you to enhance your life and maximize your well-being. Weekend appointments available. "We don't have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to." -- Brené Brown.
