In celebration of Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month, we had the incredible Espresso Geaux coffee truck roll up to our Gonzales Mercy Autism Center to treat our amazing team to some well-deserved sips and smiles! 💙

This month, and every month, we want to recognize the Behavior Technicians and Board Certified Behavior Analysts who work tirelessly to support and uplift our clients and their families. Their dedication, compassion, and heart make all the difference — they are truly our miracle workers. 🌟

As we enter Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month, we’re thrilled to share a beautiful success story that fills our hearts with pride. One of our incredible learners, Penguin (name changed for privacy), has officially graduated from his ABA program at Mercy! 🎓✨

Penguin has worked tirelessly, put in the time, and committed to achieving his goals—and now, he’s reaping the rewards. This graduation wasn’t just about a certificate, it was about all the growth, effort, and dedication he’s shown along the way. We couldn’t be more proud of him and are beyond excited to see where his future takes him. 🌈💪

Mercy Autism Center is looking to gather input from the community about a new ABA Workshop Series designed specifically for caregivers!
This series will cover ABA theory, techniques, vocabulary, and strategies to support your journey with your child.
✨ Details:
• 6-8 week series
• 1-hour sessions
• Offered at early weekday mornings, lunchtime, and/or alternating weekend days
• Minimum of 10 parents to start a group
• Open to Mercy Autism Center caregivers, those on our waitlist, caregivers of children with other exceptionalities, and caregivers of children enrolled at different providers
We want to ensure this series is accessible to as many families as possible and are aiming to make it available through insurance or private pay options.

In anticipation of the snow and ice expected in Louisiana, Mercy Autism Center will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. We want to ensure the safety of our staff, patients, and families during these weather conditions.

We will be open on Monday, January 20, and will notify all staff and families regarding our status for Wednesday as the weather forecast evolves.
