Tomorrow at RSHP in Mid City Baton Rouge, we’re kicking off Girl WOD Tuesdays with the iconic CrossFit benchmark workout…CINDY!
Cindy is a 20-minute AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) of:
• 5 pull-ups
• 10 push-ups
• 15 air squats
This workout is simple on paper…but it’s one of the best tests of conditioning, muscular endurance, and mental toughness. It’s also PERFECT if you’re newer to CrossFit because it’s easy to scale and easy to track progress over time.
How to tackle Cindy like a pro:
* Start conservative: The first 3 minutes should feel “too easy”
* Break early (especially push-ups) so you don’t hit a wall
* Stay consistent: Smooth rounds beat chaos every time
Breathe through the squats and use them as your reset
Scaling options (so everyone can play):
* Pull-ups: ring rows, banded, jumping
* Push-ups: elevated on a box/bench, knees, reduced reps
* Squats: to a target/box, reduced reps
This is one of those workouts that makes you feel like a badass when you’re done.
