A big thank you to all the ASSP members who joined us last week at the Roco Training Center in Baton Rouge for our Fall Protection Competent Person course. We’re grateful you took the time to train with us. It was a blast having everyone on site.

Special thanks to the ASSP GBR board for helping organize the event, and to HASC Louisiana and Tyler Traweek for providing the most important part.. lunch!

Chris McGlynn and Chris Warrick led the 16-hour course alongside instructors K***n Blackwell, Jacob Melancon, Brannon Aaron, and Dreagen Bethel. Over two days, participants dug into current OSHA and ANSI standards and got plenty of hands on practice identifying and addressing fall hazards in the workplace.

It was an insightful few days, and we appreciated having so many like-minded professionals in the same room sharing challenges, lessons learned, and wins from the field.

What a week in Corpus Christi, TX!

VPPPA Region VI was an absolute blast. The Roco team had an awesome time connecting with everyone—whether it was at the booth, in our sessions, or just around the event.

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by or attended K***n’s talk on technical rescue response.

And a big congratulations to Hunter Pinion for receiving the Mike Maddox Award - Well deserved! OSHA as well as Region VI VPPPA recognize VPP sites and employees who have gone above and beyond to promote safety in the workplace. Each year a variety of awards are distributed in recognition of outstanding safety performance.

We’re already looking forward to the next one. See you there!
