💗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I want to remind you that healing isn’t just physical—it’s emotional and mental, too. A cancer diagnosis can bring anxiety, depression, and overwhelming stress. It’s important to honor both your body and your mind during this journey.
You are not alone. Support is available, and reaching out for help is a sign of strength. Let’s continue raising awareness, breaking stigma, and showing compassion for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

Finding mental health care just got a little easier in New Orleans. The city launched its first-ever Mental Health & Substance Use Outpatient Wait Time Dashboard—a tool to see clinic wait times, youth care options, and language services in real-time. This is a huge step toward making care more transparent and accessible. 💙

🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🧠💖

As a therapist, I honor and affirm the identities, stories, and resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community—not just this month, but every day.

Pride is a celebration of love, authenticity, and the ongoing fight for equality and mental wellness. Everyone deserves a space where they can be seen, heard, and supported exactly as they are.

🏳️‍🌈 My practice is a safe and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating identity, relationships, trauma, or just needing a place to breathe.

✨ You are worthy.
✨ You are not alone.
✨ Your truth matters.

Let’s continue to build a world rooted in empathy, acceptance, and healing.

🧠🍷 National Alcohol Screening Day 🍷🧠
As a counselor, I want you to know—there’s no shame in checking in with yourself. Asking questions like:
    •    “Is alcohol helping or hurting my well-being?”
    •    “Am I using it to cope with stress or emotions?”
    •    “Would talking to someone help?”
Screening isn’t about judgment—it’s about awareness, empowerment, and taking steps toward health. If you’re curious about your relationship with alcohol, you’re not alone—and support is here. 💬
Let’s talk about it. 💛

🌍💚 World Health Day 💚🌍
As a counselor, I’m reminded every day that mental health is health. 🧠💬
On this World Health Day, let’s honor the connection between our emotional well-being and overall health.
Whether you’re healing, growing, or just getting through—your journey matters.
Take time to check in with yourself. Talk. Breathe. Rest. Seek support. You deserve care, too.

🌟 April is Autism Awareness Month! 🌟
As counselors, we celebrate and support neurodivergent individuals by fostering understanding, acceptance, and inclusion. Here are some key facts about autism and ways you can be an ally! 💙
🔹 Autism Facts:
✔️ Autism is a spectrum—each individual has unique strengths and challenges.
✔️ 1 in 36 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism.
✔️ Many autistic individuals have heightened sensory experiences—bright lights, loud noises, or textures can be overwhelming.
✔️ Autism is not a disease; it’s a neurodevelopmental difference that should be respected and embraced.
🔹 How to Support Neurodivergent Individuals:
💙 Practice patience and listen without judgment.
💙 Use clear, direct communication and respect different ways of expressing emotions.
💙 Avoid assumptions—ask about individual preferences and needs.
💙 Advocate for inclusivity in schools, workplaces, and communities.
💙 Support organizations that uplift autistic voices.
Autism is not something to “fix”—it’s a different way of experiencing the world. Let’s move beyond awareness to true acceptance and appreciation! ✨
Tag someone who should see this and help spread awareness! 💙💡
