I am Shamyra Howard, owner of Conquest Counseling, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a private practice serving the Baton Rouge, LA and surrounding areas. I specialize in s*xuality and relationships. As a graduate of Southern University and A&M College, and Southern University at New Orleans, and having studied at Widener University’s Human S*xuality program; I work with a varying

spectrum of clients, including those battling depression, anxiety, pregnancy, parenting, peer relationships, and those in the LGBTQIA community. Those who identify as bis*xual, transgender, gay, le***an, poly, pan, BDSM/Kinky, or otherwise, will find a safe, nonjudgmental, s*x positive space to discover areas in which you would like to grow, which may or may not have anything to do with your s*xuality. I did a thing. Over the past few years, I've been working on my doctorate.

Allow me to re-introduce myself.

My name is:

So thankful to my loved ones for supporting me. And I'm most thankful to my lover, Jason who always makes it easy for me (I wrote about it in my acknowledgments. See comments).

Now, I rest and carry on as Dr. Shamyra.

I will be presenting my research at the NASW-LA conference in March.
