Another installment in my ongoing series, “Ingredients for a Delightful Marriage.” And this one is my most vulnerable article yet.

“When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation - some fact of my life - unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment…Unless I accept

Yep - this is my right shoulder. My one and only tattoo. Depicting a scene of a trail at Grand Teton National Park and fashioned in the shape of an arrow pointing forward. It means several important things to me:
Frost reminding me that life goes on, regardless of the present so-called “good” or “bad” circumstances. Muir speaking for me that “the mountains are calling, and I must go.” The lead character from Meet the Robinsons inspiring me to “Keep Moving Forward!” My old pal, Bilbo, softly singing, “The Road Goes Ever On an and On…” And a host of sages telling me that the most worthwhile adventures of life require the courage and perseverance to keep trudging the sometimes lonely path through the hard places to the deeply satisfying pinnacles of WOW.

Wherever you find yourself at this particular moment in your life journey, I hope this image and these words help inspire you to keep going toward the delightful moments just ahead on your path.
