On Thursday, April 16, 2026, the LAFP hosted the Southwest Louisiana Area Grand Rounds and Member Social at Pat’s of Henderson. Our members enjoyed visiting with friends over cocktails before the dinner presentation hosted by the Lake Charles Family Medicine Residency Program. Speakers: Bradley Loewer, MD & Stacy Mitchell, DO presented “Emergency BOGO”

We also had the honor to confer the Degree of Fellow to Rebecca Braud, MD, FAAFP and Donald Higgins, MD, FAAFP. Danette Null, MD, FAAFP led the convocation ceremony. We were also excited to recognize the following members for their membership anniversary with the LAFP:
