ESP Pediatric Therapy Services

ESP Pediatric Therapy Services We provide pediatric therapy services including Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. Our clinic is housed within St.

Lillian Academy, a full time education setting for children with communication disorders. We have been at this facility for approximately four years. Clinic patients have full access to a sensory motor gym and quiet clinic spaces as well. We also have access to outdoor play equipment including swings, slides, ladders, a rock wall, and riding toys. Our facility does not resemble a clinical setting and therefore supports growth and development in a natural setting.

May is Speech Language Hearing Month!
We are so grateful and proud of our amazing speech therapists here at ESP!🤍🎉

Pediatric speech-language pathologists work to help children communicate effectively by assisting with the improvement of their verbal and non-verbal language skills. They also help with things like feeding and swallowing abilities.

Key aspects of speech therapy for children:
🗣️Communication Challenges:
Speech therapy addresses difficulties with speech production (articulation), language comprehension and expression, and social communication skills.

👄 Oral Motor Skills:
It can also address problems with chewing, swallowing, and other oral motor functions.

📱use of AAC:
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is a crucial aspect of speech therapy, providing alternative methods for individuals to communicate when verbal speech is limited or absent. AAC encompasses a wide range of strategies and tools, from low-tech options like picture boards to high-tech devices like speech-generating devices. Speech therapists play a vital role in assessing communication needs, selecting appropriate AAC systems, and providing training for individuals and their communication partners.

Individualized Approach:
▶️SLPs tailor therapy plans to each child's specific needs and challenges.

👩‍🏫Various Strategies:
SLPs use a range of techniques, including modeling, demonstration, exercises, and activities.

🧑‍🧒‍🧒Parent Involvement:
Parents are often involved in the therapy process to help reinforce skills learned in sessions at home

Outside of work, Bailey loves spending time with her family, going to concerts, and fishing and boating on the lake. Her and her husband also welcomed their baby boy, Henry, this past September.
