So much of the anger we see in the world is really just pain in disguise. Anger is sharp, fiery, and easier to carry than the heavy weight of loneliness, grief, or despair. That’s why we often direct it outward toward strangers, leaders, or public figures because it feels safer to fight an external “enemy” than to face the wounds within ourselves.

Until we look at those earlier hurts, the world will keep giving us new enemies to battle. Our nervous system is wired to scan for the familiar, so when someone stirs up echoes of our old pain, we mistake them for the source. In reality, they’re only the mirror.

When we find the courage to turn inward and tend to those deeper wounds, anger softens into sorrow, sorrow opens to compassion, and compassion brings us back to connection. Connection,not division, is what heals us, and the world around us.

As the leaves fall and nature sheds the old, it’s the perfect time for us to do the same. Clearing out our homes isn’t just about tidying up—it’s about making space for renewal and growth. 🧹✨

Last night, the kids were not remotely ready for bed… again. Recently, we learned to lean in even more around their emotions, wants, and needs so they feel heard and connected to themselves and us. When the littles are restless and can’t sleep, we have healthy snacks, sleepy time tea, and a ton of snuggles. Until the world melts away and all that’s left is peace and love in our hearts with heavy eyelids to meet the pillow. No one should have to go to bed feeling disconnected from self and family. Give your children all the love and connection you wanted when you were little. The results are priceless. The love is very real. The connection is everything.

This afternoon, be fully present with the people you love. Come home from work and leave the day in the car. When your spouse comes home from work greet them with the enthusiasm of your honeymoon period. Greet your family as if they’re the most important people on earth and dive into being present with them. Dive into love for yourself, your spouse/partner, and most importantly your children. Choose to open your heart to love. Choose to see all of the glimmers and blessings in your life!

Side note: The cat gets the first sip of milk every single time the jug comes out of the refrigerator. Nonnegotiable and it’s the cutest! Sharing is caring. 🤣 🐱 💙

Unlock the potential within your mind. Your thoughts wield immense power.

Negativity within your own thoughts can spiral into creating problems both in your mind and in your life by fostering a cycle of self-doubt, pessimism, and insecurity.

When you constantly dwell on negative thoughts, they can influence your emotions, behaviors, and decisions, leading to a downward spiral of discontentment and hindering your ability to see opportunities or solutions.

This negativity can also impact your relationships, work performance, and overall well-being, as it clouds your perspective and undermines your confidence.

It's essential to recognize these patterns and actively work towards cultivating a more positive and constructive mindset to break free from the cycle of negativity and create a more fulfilling life.

4/4/24 Let’s celebrate our authenticity and compliment others. So many of us are afraid to be our true selves. Having this opportunity to allow ourselves to be seen and feel accepted will do so much to diminish our fears.
